About Us

Me and the Jam
On October 19th 2010, my son (the Jam) was born and my life changed irrevocably.

Jam has a congenital heart defect similar to HLHS, which means (amongst other things) that he has no ventricle pumping blood to his lungs. It’s not curable, but a series of operations known as the Fontan procedure will give him a working circulation, for now. However he has always exceeded expectation and is currently a happy, healthy little boy.

I did go back to work after Jam was born, but last Spring we decided that I should become a “full-time mum”. I officially finished work on August 31st 2012 and this is what happened next…

    1. Thank you very much – it’s my first award so I definitely accept! I will make some time this weekend to put together my post. Congratulations on your award-fest this week! Kx

  1. It’s so hard when our little ones are so sick. My twins spent 78 days in the NICU, and our D-Day (Discharge Day) is the same as your DH’s birthday.

I’m happy to hear that your son is a happy, healthy little boy!
